The actor posted an image of himself wearing the hat on his Instagram account.
On Saturday morning, he tweeted that “having a good relationship with Russian Federation would be a good thing, not a bad thing”, and that only “stupid people” would believe the opposite.
He appeared to be referencing a newly-released report in which the CIA, FBI and National Security Agency revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin directed efforts to interfere in the 2016 USA election with the goal of helping president-elect Trump win. A report released Friday by USA intelligence agencies reasserted that, at the very least, Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted a Donald Trump presidency.
Now, Mr Baldwin has found a novel new way to make fun of Mr Trump.
The Hollywood star’s unflattering impression of the billionaire businessman on Saturday Night Live has proved a big hit with critics of the US President-elect.
“Time to retire the boring and unfunny show”, he said just weeks before the election.
Shortly after Baldwin’s joke, Trump released even more contentious tweets about Russian Federation.
“Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got ‘swamped” (or destroyed),’ Mr Trump wrote in a tweet on Friday.
